Every year Dundalk Cricket Club has between 35-45 active players registered with the club. These include Youth members all the way up to +60 year olds. Membership with our club gives access to our club facilities, which are located in Hiney Park on Carrickmacross Road. This is situated right behind Dundalk FC grounds of Oriel Park. The land is owned by Dundalk Grammar school and is leased to Dundalk Cricket Club annually. Lease is renewed every year.
Every Year we run a Youth Camp and evening Cricket Classes which are held every Wednesday.
In the past we have had women players represent the club but have not had any female members in the past few years. We want to invite more ladies to join our club and enjoy the sport.
Players registered with Dundalk CC have access to our weekly training sessions, social gatherings and play in league games. Players get to participate in two teams, both of which play In T20 tournaments and 40 over league games. New and inexperienced players star for the second team.
Annually we hold a friendly inter-club taverners game, this is a non-competitive for fun game. We also hold several friendly games across the year.
Off the ground, we hold social events such as BBQ evenings, Pub Quiz nights and dinners. An Awards evening is also held at the end of every year to reward for contributions to the club, on and off the field!
Overall we provide a great networking opportunity within the Dundalk Community, where you get to play along a diverse range of individuals from different walks of life, overall increasing your cultural experiences.
